Established in 1985, Stormking has led the way in the development of offsite prefabricated component products.
Stormking was launched at Pooley Lane, Polesworth, with 10 employees.
Stormking’s Team workforce doubles to approx 25 staff.
Pooley Lane was extended and became an Investor in People.
Stormking becomes an Investor in People company.
To keep up with demand a second site was purchased at Wilnecote.
Stormking opens a new site at Silica Road, now known as Site B.
Purchasing Amington Point, helped to increase Stormking’s manufacturing capacities.
Stormking obtained BBA Accreditation for its Dormer Roofs & Bay Window Roof products.
Stormking continued its expansion with a 2nd site on Silica Road, now referred to as Site C.
Stormking obtains ISO 9001 accreditation for its Quality Management System.
Stormking obtains ISO 14001 Environment Management System accreditation.
Stormking obtained BBA Accreditation for its SmartStack replica brick/stone GRP Chimney products.
Stormking, needing to expand its manufacturing space, purchased the Amington Point building, now referred to as Site A or Stormking Headquarters.
Stormking joins Constructionline, a register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants used by the UK’s construction industry.
To expand its product portfolio Stormking adds Brick/Stone Slip chimneys to its BBA Accreditation.
Epwin Group purchased Stormking, from the original owners. This helps to fulfill Epwin’s strategy to broaden its range of low maintenance building products.
Stormking updated its branding, incorporating the Union Jack flag into its corporate logo.
Stormking opens its Training Academy to help train the next generation of GRP operatives.
To reflect the changing nature of the business and the construction sector, Stormking has focussed its business direction, upgraded its website and product portfolio to captialise on the growing off-site manufacturing sector.
