The Epwin Group is pleased to announce that its manufacturing sites have achieved accreditation to the ISO50001 Energy Management Standard, reinforcing its commitment to effective energy management and sustainability.
Designed for organisations which are committed to addressing their environmental impact, conserving resources, and improving the bottom line, ISO 50001 provides a practical framework for improving energy performance and integrating energy management into overall business processes.
The standard was accredited by the British Standards Institution (BSI) following a comprehensive audit of Epwin Group’s UK manufacturing sites. The audit focused in particular on the energy management systems supporting the design, manufacture, warehousing, and distribution of Epwin’s extensive range of building products.
Dave Watts, Group SHEQ Development Manager at Epwin Group, led the team that achieved the company’s latest ISO standard:
“This accreditation is a testament to the ongoing dedication and support of the Group SHEQ team and SHEQ teams across the wider business. Their hard work has been instrumental in achieving ISO 50001 across all eight of our manufacturing sites.
“As a group, Epwin is continually exploring ways to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact without compromising product quality, innovation, or output. Achieving this latest ISO accreditation demonstrates the group’s ongoing commitment to these goals, whilst also supporting our customers on their own sustainability journeys,” concludes Dave.
