Stormking is the First GRP Manufacturer to be Awarded BES 6001 Standard for Responsible Sourcing of Materials

Stormking is delighted to announce it is the first UK-based Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) manufacturer to be awarded the BES 6001 certificate.

The BES 6001 is an environmental and sustainability standard developed by the BRE (Building Research Establishment).

This certification aims to provide a framework for assessing the responsible sourcing of products and encompasses all Stormking’s GRP building products, as well as the materials used within them.

Constructing and maintaining the UK’s built environment uses significant quantities of natural resources. Pressure on these resources is already high, and it only continues to increase. It is this ever-growing demand that makes it even more important to ensure industries procure resources responsibly. The BES 6001 certificate is a sign that a manufacturer knows its supply chain and the origins of the materials it’s using.
