NHBC Require Third Party Tested and Certified Products

From 1st January 2013 ALL GRP Dormer Roofs, GRP & Brick Slip Chimneys need to have an independent third party assessment certificate to meet the new NHBC Technical Standards.

Stormking’s Dormer Window Roofs & Smartstack Chimneys are the only products holding BBA Third Party Certification.

Our Dormers & Smartstack Chimneys products and our manufacturing facilities have undergone extensive analysis. Our Dormers and Smartstack Chimneys have been tested for durability, structural performance, weathertightness, thermal properties, air leakage and installation in UKAS accredited laboratories at the BBA.

BBA Approval is recognised by building control, government departments, architects, local authorities, specifiers, and industry insurers like the NHBC.

BBA Certification is established as the leading provider of Independent third-party assessments to the Construction Industry unlike the alternative Trade Association Test Certification.

Although not yet required by the NHBC, but still performing a similar critical function in any new building, we have a further BBA Certificate for our prefabricated Bay Window Roofs.

Offering BBA Certified products since 2006, we continue to set the standards in the GRP Industry. Our Quality and Environmental Policies have successfully gained Certification for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 respectively.
